The road between Oudumxay and Nong Kiaw is just terrible : holes and dust everywhere... And we made it hitchhicking, sitting on the back of a pick up! What a crazy adventure!!!
Once arrived we found a nice bungalow with view on the river Nam Ou, that divides the city.
In the evening, after exploring the city, we had a marvelleus dinner in a indian restaurant. This was defenetly the highlight of our day!
The day after we had the time to walk around and visit a bit the sourroundings of the town. We explored a cave, which was used as a bunker during the war, and went on the top of a mountain. 1h30 of walk through the fields, through a forest and climbing some rocks. A really beautiful walk, not too hard and with a wonderful view of the valley and the river! Just amazing!!
But on the way down... Track! Lukas broke one of his flipflops and... Had to walk down barefoot!
After such a day we felt like we deserved a nice dinner... At our favourite indian restaurant of course!
