A nice bus with corean soap opera and Myanmar rap included, brought us from Bago to Kalaw. On the bus we also found back Ruud, a nice dutch we met already before. We decided to continue our trip together.
For once, the bus arrived in advance... Unfortunately it was so in advance that we arrived at 3h30!!! Therefore we got a room in a guesthouse and finished our sleep in a bed.
In the morning, we tried out the joy of the hand cleaning. Soooo tiring! But after we finished, we definitely deserved our lunch.
In the afternoon, while trying to find a wood pagoda... We end up in front of the stadium, which was really full! A match of the regional tournament was taking place. The Indian village was playing against the team of the train station quarter. Lots of man were standing close to the field, while a lot of woman were sitting at the stadium. The matches are particularly important fpr the people because the community finance herself the team... And of course they want them to win!
We also learn that, when it's raining, most of the times is the village team that wins. This is due to the fact that the players from the villages train in the mud of the rice fields. That's why they can manage the ball even under a havy rain!
The match end up 1-1, with the happiness of the station quarter, that was supposed to lose.
In the night, to end this cultural day... We went to the indian temple for a celebration that looked more like a talent show. On the stage a lot of people are proposing some short dance. It's not always beautiful.. But quite interesting!
