Arrived in our guesthouse in Chiang Kong we saw for the first time the brown water of the Mekong, that here marks the boarder between Thailand and Laos. We spent two days in this little town, just enjoying the view of Laos : a new adventure was waiting for us just on the other side of the river!
During our stay, we had the
chance to meet some old travelers who shared with us some of their adventures. Paul, a man from Luxemburg, showed us around the city and invited us at his place. In the afternoon Lukas and Paul went for a bath in a small bay in the Mekong... Just aside them a men was cultivating soya springs. The Mekong is also this.
